Indianapolis Colts 2009 NFL Predictions & 2010 Super Bowl Odds

Indianapolis Colts 2009 NFL Predictions, Win Total & 2010 Super Bowl Odds: The more things change the more they will stay the same for the 2009 Indianapolis Colts. Gone is head coach Tony Dungy and Marvin Harrison, but that will not keep the resilient Colts from reaching the playoffs for the 12th time in 13 years. New head coach Jim Caldwell will stick to the same winning formula that Dungy used, don’t make mistakes and pick spots to take risks. Peyton Manning is hungry for another Super Bowl ring and he might just get it. The NFL predictions odds for the Indianapolis Colts to win the 2010 Super Bowl is listed at 11-1 odds

A bum knee kept Peyton Manning from being his normal unstoppable self in 2008. Manning is the best QB in the NFL and will be at 100% which means he will light up the scoreboard. The O-Line is a top-10 unit that protects Manning very-well and should be able to keep him on the field. Former Colts WR Marvin Harrison was a great player but he was past his prime and his replacement Anthony Gonzalez could actuallly be an upgrade. Opposite of Gonzalez, Reggie Wayne is an All-Pro with great skills. TE Dallas Clark is one of the pass-catching tight ends in the NFL and has deep speed.  Joseph Addai and rookie Donald Brown are excellent speed running backs that should help the Colts ground game improve last year’s 31st ranked rushing offense.

The Colts have an undersized defense that will be more aggressive under new coordinator Larry Coyle. Coyle will use Dungy’s same Tampa-2 scheme and depends on his players to make smart reads. DE’s Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis form the most dangerous pass-rushing duo in the NFL off the edge. The Colts front seven is fast, but at times the Colts defenders get blown off the ball, leaving gaping holes in the running game.  The Colts secondary is one the best in the NFL. Special Teams always seems to be a weakness for Indy and this year is no different. The NFL Football predictions odds for the Indianapolis Colts to win the AFC championship is at 11-2 odds.

The AFC South is arguably the best division in the AFC and the Colts are top of the class. The Colts are an aging team but they have enough in the tank to make it back to the Superbowl. The NFL predictions odds on the season Win Total for the Indianapolis Colts is at 10.5 Wins.
