NFL Defensive tackle, Albert Haynesworth failed in Washington Redskins fitness tests and has been ruled out from the training camps.
Albert Haynesworth has to complete two sets of shuttle runs in the allotted time to qualify for practice sessions. But, he failed to finish off in the allotted time.
Sources say that, Albert Haynesworth has taken much time to complete first set and then went for a long-break. In the second set also, he repeated the first set performance. Later, Redskins decided that he has failed in fitness tests.
“It’s a very fair test,” Washington Redskins coach, Mike Shanahan said. “But more importantly,
it keeps a guy from getting hurt. I don’t want to put a guy out there that’s not ready to go, and all of a sudden there’s a setback for two weeks.”
Mike Shanahan said that there were no serious arguments with Albert Haynesworth after informing him that he failed in fitness tests. Mike Shanahan also said that all the Redskins players must pass the tests by participating in offseason workouts.
Albert Haynesworth was picked by Tennessee Titans in the first round of 2002 NFL Draft. During the 2002 NFL Draft, Albert Haynesworth has made 4.82 40-yard dash, had a 39-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot, 7-inch broad jump.
