Pittsburgh Steelers Cornerback Anthony Madison had re-signed with the team, where they anxious about their secondary’s lack of depth for Sunday’s AFC Wild-Card Game in Denver.
The 30-year-old Anthony Madison, who had spent five seasons with Pittsburgh Steelers, he will join with the team soon for the Sunday’s AFC Wild-Card Game in Denver. Pittsburgh Steelers have lost cornerbacks Keenan Lewis and rookie Cortez, who suffered injuries’ in their last victory over Cleveland Browns on last weekend and recently another cornerback Curtis Brown also placed him on injured reserve. Madison has not yet signed a contract with Steelers, but he is on his way to Pittsburgh and likely to rejoin his former teammates in time for their playoff game this Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will play in Denver again in the wild card round of the 2012 NFL playoffs on Sunday and team have not yet decided whether Ryan Clark will be allowed to play. Safety Ryan Clark has suffered a violent reaction, when he played in Denver’s mile-high altitude in a 2007 season. Steelers’ coach Mike Tomlin said Ryan Clark is still doubtful to play this week, where he will meet with doctors, before a decision is made on his status.
Madison has played in five games for the Detroit Lions this season. Anthony Madison was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2006 season and also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns Indianapolis Colts and the Detroit Lions.
