The Arkansas’ athletic department has raised fund to $28.4 million to build a new football center and training facility, assist by a $10 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
The Arkansas football team athletic director Jeff Long said that, university still need to raise around $7 million to finish the construction of a new football center and training facility. The football center will feature a new locker room, coaches’ offices, study area, a lounge and a recruiting reception area including a museum dedicated to Razorback football. The new football center will be south of Razorback Stadium.
The entire cost of the project is estimating to reach around $35 million, where football center alone is estimated at $28 million and the practice facility will cost nearly $7 million. Arkansas football Coach Bobby Petrino has took over the charges of the team in December 2007, where he has been planning and fundraising for the project, which it is going to build in 80,000 square feet.
Petrino has guided the Arkansas with a 10-3 overall record and also reached the Super Bowl in 2010. Arkansas team has to raise at least more $10 million in order for the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
