Former New England Patriots wide receiver, Brandon Tate has been acquired by Cincinnati Bengals out of three players off waivers on Sunday. Tate was a third round pick in 2009 NFL Draft and was among the Patriots’ final roster cuts on Saturday. Tate played in all 16 games with 10 starts last season and finished with 24 receptions for 432 yards with three touchdowns.

Besides this, Brandon has also returned 41 kickoffs for 1,057 yards and has ranked sixth in the NFL with a 25.8 yard average. This also includes two kickoff returns for touchdowns and one 97-yard score against the Bengals in Week 1. He told that whatever the team wants him to do, he is willing to do it and they’ll see when he gets there.

Including Brandon, the others who were acquired by the Bengals are the centre Mike McGlynn on waivers from Philadelphia and the tight end Mickey Shuler on waivers from Miami. The Shuler was entering his second season and has played in six games and has made two starts for Dolphins, last season. In regard to those acquisitions, the Cincinnati Bengals have waived three players that include the tight end Chase Coffman, the wide receiver Quan Cosby and the centre Reggie Stephens.
