Big 12 Championship Game and Nebraska Football: Nebraska has confirmed their berth in Big 12 Championship game. Nebraska defeated Colorado with 45-17 on Friday.
Nebraska amazed Colorado and booked their place in the Big 12 Championship game. Nebraska running back, Rex Burkhead finished the game with two touchdown passes and 101 passing yards.
Nebraska coach, Bo Pelini has faced many comments as he went for Colorado game with out their star quarterback, Taylor Martinez. Taylor Martinez was sidelined due to his right ankle and left foot injuries. Cody Green was played in the place of Taylor Martinez.
Cody Green finished 10 of 13 passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns, and Roy Helu Jr. rushed 15 times for 77 yards.
“Nothing Rex Burkhead does surprise me,” Nebraska coach, Bo Pelini said. “He’s what a football player is supposed to be. They ought to put his picture next to it in the dictionary. He just does so many things to help you.”
In the Big 12 Championship game, Nebraska will meet either Oklahoma or Oklahoma State on December 4, 2010 at Arlington, Texas.
