Virginia Tech senior offensive tackle Blake DeChristopher has a stressed left pectoral muscle, where he will be pulled out of six weeks.
Virginia Tech has announced that Blake DeChristopher had injured on his left pectoral muscle and he is going too missed out four to six of the season. DeChristopher has been playing his fourth season as a starter for the Virginia Tech and he has record 37 career starts, including 22 in a consecutively. DeChristopher could miss the first two matches of the season against Appalachian State and East Carolina.
DeChristopher has recorded 83 percent and had a team-best 59 knockdown blocks in 2010 season. Vinston Painter and Michael Via are the leading players to replace DeChristopher for upcoming season. The report says Virginia Tech will not release depth chart until Thursday, when the team begin practice.
The Virginia Tech head athletic trainer Mike Goforth said that, DeChristopher has injured seriously on left pectoral muscle and he will be back soon, after six weeks rest. He added he does not think offensive tackle to miss more matches, where he was injury in the weight room while attaining on the bench press. DeChristopher is the only offensive player missing, before the start of the season and said left guard Greg Nosal is recovering from shoulder injury says Goforth.
