Buccaneers quarterback, Josh Freeman stated that the injured throwing shoulder is improving and hopes to play on Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, Josh was limited in practice on Wednesday. He did just some light throwing while backup Josh Johnson worked with the first-team offense.
Josh Freeman was injured during the 23-17 loss at Tennessee, two weeks ago and sat out last Sunday’s 38-19 loss to Carolina game. He ended a stretch of 36 consecutive starts and described his injury as a bone bruise. The coach, Raheem Morris said that obviously he will be day-by-day guy and they will see what he is able to do on Thursday.
Morris said that they will have a chance to evaluate him on Friday, obviously Saturday and Sunday. He said about him that he is a lot better this week than he was last and they will get a change to see where he can go and if he can go the next couple of days. Freeman also said that team trainers want to take it slow but he still there’s a realistic chance he can play against the Jaguars.
Johnson made his first start since 2009 against the Panthers, left the game for one play during the second quarter because he separated his non-throwing shoulder and had to have it popped back into place before he could return.
