Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells, who is suffering hamstring injury, is expected to play against the New York Giants on Sunday, after sitting out last week’s loss at Seattle. However, Wells was limited in practice on Wednesday and he is slated to be spend more time on the field on Thursday said Coach.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said that they need to balance the meet and they don’t want to lose Wells, he was out of action fr last week and so they back Wells to be playing this Sunday against Giants. However, hamstring injuries are tricky and a player doesn’t know what will happen when he runs fully fit until he runs full speed. Before sitting out last Sunday’s game in Seattle, Wells was off to the best start of his career, rushing for 183 yards in two games and averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
For the Cardinals, tight end Jim Dray (pectoral) and receiver Chansi Stuckey (hamstring) didn’t practice on Wednesday. Tight end Todd Heap (ribs), linebacker Paris Lenon (groin) and running back LaRod Stephens-Howling (hand) were limited in the practice session. While Giants, cornerback Prince Amukamara (foot) and defensive end Justin Tuck (groin/neck) did not practice. Receiver Mario Manningham (concussion), receiver Brandon Stokley (quadriceps) and defensive end Osi Umenyiuora (knee) were limited.
