In the first preseason game, Bills lost against Washington Redskins with 42-17 on 13th August. Bills were unable to lead in any of the quarter against Washington Redskins. Bills defeated Super Bowl XLIV runner up, Indianapolis Colts with 34-21 and looking to perform with the same spirit against Cincinnati Bengals.

In the Hall of Fame game, Bengals lost against Dallas Cowboys with 16-7 at Fawcett Stadium. In the first preseason game, Bengals won against Denver Broncos with 33-24 and continued the same form against Philadelphia Eagles in the second preseason game. Bengals defeated Eagles with 22-9.
