Plaxico Burress is away from prison and that means that the veteran wide receiver will be back as a free-agent in the NFL market. However, no team is interested in the playmaker. Coming to the Cleveland Browns, they could use their additional weapons to help the second-year quarterback Colt McCoy. Unfortunately, Plaxico Burress is not involved in the discussion.
Browns coach, Pat Shurmur said that he feels that his team is already well stocked at Burress’ position. He said that he feel like they have got some veteran receivers and although they were younger, they have played NFL seasons, so they are looking forward to work with the guys that they have. He added that he feels like they have a good team to start and move forward with and that is the path they are going to approach it.
The other team who were not interested on Burress is Miami Dolphins. However, the team was looking to rev up their offensive attack, but a source told that Dolphins are absolutely not interested in Burress. It is also unlikely that the team Burress has achieved Super Bowl glory with in February 2008. By the scheduled start of the 2011 season, Plaxico Burress will be 34. Originally selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the eighth overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, he has 505 career catches, accumulating 7,845 yards and 55 touchdowns.
