Clinton Portis will miss the 4 to 6 weeks due to groin injury. Clinton Portis injury became problem for the Washington Redskins.

Clinton Portis career is once again in doubtful as he is going to be out for 4-6 weeks due to groin injury. Redskins coach, Mike Shanahan said that has a third-degree separation of the left groin, with the muscle separated off the bone, but no need of surgery and it takes minimum four to six weeks to recover.

“That’s disappointing,” Mike Shanahan said, “that working so hard, playing so well, that he’s got that setback.”

Clinton Portis picked up an injury in their 17-12 win against Philadelphia Eagles on last Sunday. Redskins’ players, Ryan Torain and Chad Simpson are ready to share the responsibilities of Portis in the upcoming game against Green Bay Packers. Mike Shanahan has huge hopes on Ryan Torain as he performed well against Philadelphia Eagles.

Clinton Portis has received 19 for 195 yards this season. Portis recorded a good play last season, but missed eight games due to injury.
