Clinton Portis Will be Sidelined for 4 to 6 Weeks Due to Injury

Clinton Portis will be out for four to six weeks due to groin injury. Washington Redskins are worried about Clinton Portis injury. No need of surgery for Clinton Portis injury.

Clinton Portis career is once again in trouble as he is going to miss 4 to 6 weeks due to groin injury. Washington Redskins coach, Mike Shanahan states that has a third-degree separation of the left groin, with the muscle separated off the bone. Portis will not require surgery.

Clinton Portis will need four to six weeks to recover completely. Clinton Portis got injured in their 17-12 victory against Philadelphia Eagles game that was held on last Sunday. Portis took the assistance from Ryan Torain in rushing on Sunday’s game.

“When you lose some players during the season, other guys have to step up,” Shanahan said. “Ryan has got a little playing time, and we’ll see what he can do.”

Now, Washington Redskins is having only two players, Ryan Torain and Chad Simpson in the running back and this is a very big blow for Redskins.

On Wednesday, Washington Redskins have signed two rookie running backs, Brandon Banks and Javarris James. Javarris James was released by the New England Patriots on Tuesday.
