Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy is still doubtful to play next game against Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night football against at M&T Bank Stadium.
The 25-year-old Colt McCoy has not been medically cleared by team doctors, where he sustained a concussion from a helmet-to-helmet hit by Steelers linebacker James Harrison on 8th December at Heinz Field. Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said McCoy was at the team facility Tuesday and participated in team meetings before being sent him home on Wednesday evening. He added McCoy is not 100 percent fit to play Saturday’s game at Baltimore.
Browns tight end Benjamin Watson, who was suffering from three concussions since July, required a second opinion on last week, before the Browns placed him on injured reserve. Tight end Alex Smith and linebacker Titus Brown also placed on injured reserve for the next game, where Cleveland Browns latest casualties in a banged-up season.
McCoy has not spoken to the media, after getting injured earlier this month and the Browns’ handling of the injury has encouraged the NFL to modify to its policies on concussions. After sending therapeutic personnel to Cleveland to meet with the Browns on last week, the NFL league will wants teams to place certified athletic trainers in the press box to assist monitor head injuries. Browns will play their last game of the season Pittsburgh Steelers Cleveland Browns Stadium at 1:00 pm ET on 1st January.
