New York Jets star player, Darrelle Revis is not willing to join the New York Jets training camps due to the disputes with the team regarding his contract.
Darrelle Revis was not satisfied with the deal and failed to report to the training camp on Sunday. Darrelle Revis seeking for new contract and he won’t participate in the training camp till the deal gets finalized.
New York Jets General manager, Mike Tannenbaum said that he has made two offers for Darrelle Revis on Thursday. One is, Darrelle Revis will continue as a ‘life-time-player’ for New York Jets and second is, a short-term deal, which he receives a $1 million for the 2010 NFL regular season. But, Darrelle Revis den
ied the two offers on Friday.
Darrelle Revis demands $1 million in the fourth year of his six-year rookie contract and he wants to cross the Nnamdi Asomugha, who made a three-year deal with Oakland Raiders during last offseason and the deal worth’s $45.3 million. If Darrelle Revis crosses then he will become the league’s highest-paid cornerback.
Sources say that, New York Jets is not willing to pay fully guaranteed money. There is no surprise in Darrelle Revis decision but creates a trouble for New York Jets coach, Rex Ryan. Rex Ryan is looking to fulfill the Darrelle Revis position in the training camp. It is not easy for Rex Ryan to replace Darrelle Revis.
