A one-day contract has been accepted by New York Giants with Super Bowl XLII hero, David Tyree, who will retire from NFL as New York Giants player.
During his visit with the team in June, David Tyree has told that he wants to retire from NFL. On Friday, David Tyree will announce his retirement from NFL in a special-teams standout conference.
David Tyree has played well and became a Super Bowl XLII hero with a greatest catch in the Super Bowl history. Due to that fantastic catch, New York Giants won the Super Bowl XLII against New England Patriots.
“At the end of the day I am a Giant,” said David Tyree. “My greatest moments have been here, my greatest memories are here. That is why I am here todayâ€.
In the last season, David Tyree played for Baltimore Ravens. David Tyree played five seasons for New York Giants.
David Tyree was picked by New York Giants in the sixth round of 2003 NFL Draft. He became famous for his helmet catch in the Super Bowl XLII where New York Giants defeated New England Patriots with 17-14. During the 2007 season, he made Tyree amassed 4 receptions for 35 yards with no touchdowns. In the 2008 season, he was placed in physically-unable-to-perform list due to knee injury.
