Last month, the Detroit Lions’ wide receiver, Nate Burleson has tweeted a picture of his elbow saying that it was starting to look like his knee. The photograph was taken just before it was drained by doctor. However, the injury will evidently require surgery to completely fix the problem.
The wide receiver, Nate Burleson said that he is returning to Seattle in order to have a minor surgery on his right elbow. Last November, Burleson has hurt his elbow in the game against Dallas Cowboys. Periodically, the injury began to swell and if we look at it now, it shaped like a soft ball. He needs to have the fluid drained and a bursa sac to be removed.
On Wednesday, there were about 32 Lions for the session that also includes Brandon Pettigrew who has planned to play at 255 pounds after being 270 as a rookie. Burleson and Pettigrew are the two starting complements to Calvin Johnson in the receiving game. The rookie Titus Young and Jahvid Best were out of the backfield and an offensive coordinator, Scott Linehan has a lot of options in passing game.
Nate Burleson was the ninth-year receiver, signed a five-year with $25 million contract with the Lions in March 2010. He signed this contract after four seasons with his hometown Seahawks. However, he has started 14 games last season with 55 passes for 625 yards and seven touchdowns.
