Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl safety, Ed Reed may miss the first six matches of 2010 NFL regular season as he is recovering from the hip surgery. Ed Reed says that he is recovering slowly from the hip surgery and doctors advised him to take rest for few months. So, he may miss the first six matches of the upcoming NFL season.
On Tuesday, Ed Reed said, “I’m going to get out there when I feel good. I can’t give you a date. I don’t know.†Ed Reed has also been ruled out for 4 matches in the 2009 NFL regular season due to neck, hip and groin injuries.
“I had to reconstruct my whole hip. It’s not something where I can say, ‘I’m going to be back.’ I’m not coming back until I’m well and ready,†he added. Ed Reed was picked by the Baltimore Ravens as the 24th overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft. Ed Reed was selected for six Pro Bowl matches and he also received an award of NFL Defensive Player of the Year in the 2004.
Ed Reed has scored 13 touchdowns, 3 blocked punts, 1 punt return, 2 fumble returns and 7 interception returns in his career.
