Eli Manning picked up an injury in the NFL Preseason game against New York Jets on Monday Night Football. Eli Manning got 3-inch wound with 12 stitches and left the field at 11:03.
New York Giants announced that X-ray reports stated that there has been no damage in his head and his health condition is stable.
During the second quarter on Monday night, Manning head hit New York Jets safety, Jim Leonhard’s facemask and blood was drawn from his forehead. He left the field at 11:03 and moved home. Eli Manning admits that it was his mistake and he will be back soon.
“I feel fine. I feel normal,” Eli Manning said. “The play was my fault. We had a run play with an option to throw a fade that I thought I might try, but Brandon wa
s coming right up the middle. Sometimes you make a mistake and you get hit in the head. It’s preseason, you learn from it.”
Eli Manning is one of the key players in the New York Giants. Manning has started last 87 NFL regular-season games for New York Giants.
New York Giants won against New York Jets in their first preseason of this season on Monday. Giants have missed 13 players for the game against Jets due to precautionary reasons.
