Eli Manning Injury: Eli Manning participated in New York Giants training session on Wednesday. Eli Manning gave few passes in one-on-one drills.
Eli Manning has been recovering from his fore head injury. Eli Manning got injured by hitting New York Jets safety, Jim Leonhard’s facemask in their first preseason game against New York Jets on Monday. It was happened during the second quarter and he left the field around 11:00 p.m.
He immediately underwent tests in Manhattan and the medical reports states that there are no damages in his head. But, he is not feeling comfortable to wear helmet to join in teams practice sessions. He missed Tuesday workouts and joined on Wednesday by wearing a blue New York Giants hat. After some time, he sat out and watched the practice session.
“Eli will not play this week but I won’t go any further than that,” New York Giants coach, Tom Coughlin said. “There is a question as to whether what he can do with a hat on. I am not going to rush things. If the doctors say it is OK for him to throw, then he will do some throwing. But he is definitely not going to put the helmet on.”
Eli Manning will be sidelined for their game against Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. Manning did not know when he will participate in full training sessions with a helmet. Helmet is important for every NFL player.
