Cedric Benson, free agent of Cincinnati Bengals has joined his former teammates at the workouts on Wednesday at the University of Cincinnati.
Benson being a free agent of this season, a free agent is not allowed to talk or sign with the teams during the NFL lockout. Benson has been the most dominating player in the workouts as he carried the ball in the rain and sent a clear message to the team management that he wants to lead the new offensive leg. He is the leading player for the team in last three seasons but didn’t receive any extension of contract.
The 28-year-old, Benson, said that he has been very passive for the past three years. He had much better reinvented his career with Bengals after his tough times in Chicago. He quoted that he may not be totally different person but, he will be little more expressive on work ethic and passion for the game.
The Bengals drop to 4-12 in last season, when lots the players were appearing in reality shows but they were failed to produce the results. They were the defending champions of AFC North turning their focus on weakness and willing to overcome them.
Cedric wants to become important player in the team than to be a guy in the backfield who gets the ball. He was succeeded in grabbing the attention of his former teammates as flied from Texas to join them for several voluntary workouts.
