NFL suspended Green Bay Packers player, Johnny Jolly for violating the league’s substance abuse policy and without paying for the upcoming season.
Johnny Jolly’s ban will apply immediately and will continue for the complete 2010 NFL regular season. However, he has got a chance for applying reinstatement after the Super Bowl in February. Johnny Jolly is facing drug allegations. On conviction, he will face 20 years imprisonment. Johnny Jolly was arrested in the Houston club on July 8th, 2008 for using gun and drug. The charges against Johnny Jolly were dropped in July 2009.
“Johnny is a good player that loves everything about the game of football,†said Packers general manager, Ted Thompson. “We appreciate the contributions he has made to the Packers the past four seasons. His focus and priorities now lie elsewhere—our thoughts are with him during this difficult personal time.â€
The 27-years-old, Johnny Jolly was a sixth round draft pick by Packers in 2006.
