Florida State University star cornerback Greg Reid was arrested by the police officials on early morning Monday, 26th September on charges of resisting arrest and bearing false witness.
Sources stated the Leon County Sheriff’s Office has reported that, Reid was arrested on charges of resisting a police officer without violence and bearing fake witness. Reid’s legal representative Tim Jansen said there is no evidence to arrest him for anything and he was called out of his apartment house by the police officials on Monday early morning.
Tim Jansen said he has spoken with prosecutor Eddie Evans, hopes to resolve this issue soon as possible for cornerback Greg Reid. Florida State football head Coach Jimbo Fisher was out of station Monday, where he is taking part in the engagement in Birmingham. The University officials have not available to comment on this incident at the moment.
Cornerback Greg Reid has been suspended from the team earlier this month for the for violating team rules at the Charleston Southern game, where he also dropped from the Saturday’s game 35-30 loss at Clemson. Reid was out of the team Clemson game with a bruised right knee, as he sustained injury against Oklahoma with a 23-13 loss on 17th September. Florida State will play their next game before resuming on 8th October at Wake Forest.
