The top ranked quarter back Gunner Kiel has committed to attend Indiana football, which he had announced on Tuesday at Columbus.
Kiel had led Columbus East to a 9-2 record in the last season, where he had recorded 2,645 passing yards and 36 touchdowns. He picked Indiana over Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma, among other high schools. Gunner Kiel also attended Missouri and Oklahoma in the last week. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Kiel had not given any details about his recruitment, but Indiana football officials were under discussion with quarterback.
Gunner’s father, Kip Kiel said that, Coach Wilson’s background and resume has developed a lot of quarter backs and he added Wilson is having an ability to build up quarterbacks and prolific offenses. In Wilson’s nine seasons at Oklahoma state football, he had produced 22 offensive players were drafted into the NFL, including seven players in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Indiana has played just one bowl game, since 1993 season and ended-up in the last position in the Big Ten Conference in the last season. Kiel is the 14th player to assign to Indiana and he was the second in the top 10 in the nationality. The other players are Indianapolis Lawrence Central offensive lineman Wes Rogers, where the players have no rights to sign on nationalized letters of intention till next year.
