Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts quarterback has underwent a neck surgery for second time on Monday in Chicago. Team owner Jim Irsay said the quarterback is expected to play the regular season of 2011.
Manning first fixed his neck problem druing February 2010 where he had to repair pinched nerve, but this time he underwent a surgery for second time to fix disk in the neck. Isray said that the operation was less complicated and he is expected to bounce back quickly with taking rest for 6 to 8 weeks.
Colts quarterback Manning said that he has felt discomfort in his recently and the two surgeries he had is different from one another. He is hoping quick recovery and will start the rehab process eye to comeback for the National Football League as scheduled. He added that there is plenty of time to recover; he remembered that he lifted weights just after a week in last process of rehab.
Manning has played most number of playoffs consecutively for 227; he stands next to Brett Favre 321. Isray always showed special interest in Manning where his contract is up and Isray wants him to allow becoming a free agent.
Isray added that the backup quarter back for Manning will be thrown more in the training sessions and expected them to see in action all the time in preseason.
