Jeff Fisher is as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, as the team announced on Thursday. Jeff Fisher was the NFL’s longest tenured head coach for the Tennessee Titans who will leave soon.
NFL officials stated that Fisher will get $8 million as part of his payment to walk off from the Tennessee Titans after the full seasons. Fisher was to get $5.6 million in salary for 2011 with a $4 million for bonus. Sources stated that Fisher wants his son as a quality control coach for Titans. Brandon Fisher son of Jeff Fisher helped out offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger in the season, which was getting cancer treatment.
Fisher, 52 was on high list for the both Denver Broncos, and San Francisco 49ers, two franchises were desperately wanted a best profile as head coach to their team. Fisher has coached more NFL games for one franchise than all but six halls of famers Tom Landry, Don Shula, Chuck Noll, George Halas, Bud Grant and Curly Lambeau.
Tennessee Titans promote Fisher from defensive coordinator to interim coach with six games left out in the 1994 season after Jack Pardee fired out. In the year 1999 Titans ranked seventh in the NFL season with a winning percentage of 110-82 record. The Titans did not won the playoff game since defeating Baltimore Ravens in 2004 wild card match. Titans also lost their wild card game in a San Diego in 2007.
