The Jaguars used their NFL Draft pick in the first round to pick Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert, he is a 10th overall. But the draft pick of QB doesn’t seem to be happy one for Jacksonville’s biggest star, Jones-Drew.
Maurice Jones-Drew, was not the fan of picking up new faces to the offensive team instead they deserve more time. The Jaguars running back, Jones-Drew has rushed more than 1,300 yards in back-to-back seasons said that the offense needed more time to develop and not new faces in to the team.
Jones-Drew stated that they needed another one more year for every player to hold the team as many of the new faces coming in. He was not a fan of David Garrard for making his decision to pick QB in their first round NFL Draft Pick; he was shocked by the pick.
David Garrard was been unable to meet the expectation coming out form his breakout of 2007 season, but he remained a steady contributor for the Jaguars in 2010. He played 14 games where Garrard threw for 2,734 yards and a career-high 23 touchdowns. His 90.8 quarterback rating was his best mark since 102.2 in ’07.
Jones-Drew said that the franchise would be benefited from a lower profile player for the team.
