49ers New StadiumMajor hurdle cleared for new NFL Stadium in 49ers: Santa Clara people cleared main hurdle for NFL stadium in 49ers and they moved a step closure to San Francisco.

The 49ers has played in San Francisco since more than 60 years and won five Super Bowls. 49Ers is planning to build the 68,500-seat stadium at Santa Clara, which is 45 miles south of San Francisco. But, the new NFL stadium requires hundreds of millions of dollars. As per the preliminary conditions with the team, the City and area hotels will pay $114 million to the $937 million project next to a Great America theme park. The team has spent $4 million for campaign and the support of voters.

The team has faced many problems from the opponents. Opponents made any objections about traffic, noise and parking problems. The new stadium will be completed by the 2014 football season.

“For almost a decade and a half, the San Francisco 49ers and our faithful fans have dreamed about playing at home in a world-class stadium, and now those dreams are closer to reality,” said team President and CEO Jed York. “We can now proceed with our plans to build the premier, open-air sports and entertainment venue in the world.”
