Marcus Spears Injured in Dallas Cowboys Training Camp

Dallas Cowboys defensive end, Marcus Spears picked an injury during Thursday’s training camp. Marcus Spears will be out for 4-6 weeks.

Marcus Spears sustained a sprained left MCL on Thursday at the end of the training session. Marcus Spears never missed even one match in his five NFL seasons. But, now, he will be out for 4-5 weeks and unavailable for preseason matches. However, he will be available for Dallas Cowboys regular season opening match against Washington Redskins on September 12.

Marcus Spears wore shoulder pads, helmets and shorts but not wore a protective knee Marcus Spearsbrace during the training camp. Earlier, Spears faced the same problem for his right knee during his rookie season in 2005 and was unavailable for most of the preseason matches.

Marcus Spears was picked by Dallas Cowboys as a 20th overall pick in the first round of 2005 NFL Draft. Spears started his career as a tight end during his college football and later, moved to the defensive line. He made two tackles against New York Giants during 2007 NFL playoff match.
