On Saturday, Team owner Stephen Ross said that Miami Dolphins will “make improvements” in its player interviewing practices, responding to the fallout from General Manager Jeff Ireland’s asking former receiver Dez Bryant if his mother was ever a prostitute.
Stephen Ross said Ireland “is well deserving of my continued confidence” and that he considers “the matter closed.” Ireland apologized to Bryant earlier this week after Yahoo! Sports reported that he posed the question during a pre-draft interview.
Surely, teams ready to make $13 million investments, as the Dolphins would have done with Bryant if they picked him in their original draft slot at No. 12, have the right to gather as much information as possible to make an educated decision.
