Tavaris Jackson is not getting down as Minnesota Vikings are not giving him any chance to be their starting quarterback. Jackson said that it is probably the time for a change. He said that he is thankful for the opportunity to play in Vikings the last five years. He added that he is not trying to be a backup and he is trying to go somewhere he has a chance. He also said that he does not feel like he had got the chance in Vikings. He told that it is time to move and there are no hard feelings or anything, it is just business.
Minnesota Vikings has selected Tavaris Jackson in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He was viewed as a raw player who had the skills to develop into a star. Jackson has never found consistent success as a starter during 2007 and 2008. He was then moved into the background when the team has acquired Brett Favre before the 2009 season. Minnesota has not offered Jackson a contract before the NFL lockout as another sign the team had moved on at quarterback.
At the time when Jackson has attended the Alabama State, Jackson said that since the first day, he do not think he was really welcome to the team, anyways because no one really knew who was him, being from a smaller school. He added that a lot more things probably play into it and it is just the way things are and cannot help it.
Jackson was asked to elaborate on his comments about the fans. He replied that as just the way things happened, he was thrown into there and the way where it was him of Brett Favre or all the stuff, just a lot of different things played into it that kind of soured their relationship. He quoted that fans are going to be fans.
