Usually, NFL teams approach their third exhibition game as the most important of the preseason for establishing a rhythm with their starters and better determining which backups are worthy of the roster.
The Minnesota Vikings right guard, Anthony Herrera will play right guard for the Vikings against Dallas on Saturday night. His first-on-field action since tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in a game last November and has underwent reconstructive surgery. He told that for the first time all year, he is excited about the opportunity to finally play again.
However, he was not in that mood and his comments were terse and brief. His coach, Leslie Frazier has said that Anthony has something to prove and he wants to prove it to everybody that includes his coaches. He added that they are all excited to watch him returning to play back and they are pulling for him.
Besides, the ability of Anthony Herrera in returning to his reliable self at age 31 after a serious injury, he had an operation to repair a torn triceps muscle. He will be going a long way towards the success of Minnesota’s offensive line. He made into the team in 2004 as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee and has taken over as a full-time starter in 2007.
