Minnesota Vikings is holding three-day minicamp for their teammates where 10 -15 players are expected to participate including Christian Ponder.
Christian Ponder, a first round draft pick of Minnesota Vikings, has been with the team for past two weeks and adapting to the Vikings team. The minicamp will be starting form Tuesday at the IMG Madden Football Academy in Bradenton.
The drafted quarterback, Christian Ponder will be played along the two other roster quarterbacks, Joe Webb and Rhett Bomar. Their game will supervise by the former NFL quarterback Chris Weinke, who is also director of football operations at the 400-acre IMG facility.
Weinke has been working out with quarterbacks Joe Webb and Christian Ponder for past two weeks privately where the former MFL quarter is focusing on learning the terminology and concepts of the new Vikings offensive playbook. The players handed over their playbooks during the lockouts by the federal judge.
In the three-day minicamp every player will be supervised by the medical staff, strength and conditioning coach Jeff Dillman and renowned speed coach Loren Seagrave.
The top NFL pick of Carolina Panthers, Cam Newton, has been also working out at the IMG Madden Football Academy. The football academy has served several other NFL players comprising Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman, St. Louis Rams left tackle Rodger Saffold and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
