Minnesota Vikings is facing up New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship match on Sunday. Minnesota Vikings is having some injury concerns, which is creating troubles for team.
Minnesota Vikings star player, Pro Bowl DT Kevin Williams is struggling with knee injury and not participated in practice session. There is no further details about the seriousness of the injury. Even if he play for NFC Championship match he will not be 100 percent fit.
This creates a problem for Minnesota Vikings in defense. He is very quick and uncommon blend of power makes him imporatnat to the Vikings run defense, which ranked No. 2 in the NFL after leading the league three consecutive years. Williams also is one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL.
If Kevin Williams is absent then their will be a big problem in the Vikings’ defensive line, because DE Ray Edwards is also unavailable due to knee injury. Journeyman DT Jimmy Kennedy is ready to play for Williams. Kennedy has performed well since arriving in Minnesota late last season. Kennedy earned the loss of about 20 pounds and the tutelage of line coach Karl Dunbar for his improvement. Kennedy had a sack Sunday against Dallas and has proven to be a key part of the rotation.
