2011 NFL regular season week 5 is yet another exciting week of football in the NFL, and week 5 promises to have fans on the edge of their seats. However, the bye weeks will be kick started form week 5 as Cleveland, Dallas, St. Louis, Miami, Washington and Baltimore will be out of action. These six teams will be looking to heal up and make improvements for the long season ahead.
The upcoming matches over this weekend will be quiet interesting as teams and players in the NFL keep moving forward in hopes of gaining a berth in the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans has been a major surprise as the Titans have started the season at 3-1, but they now travel to Pittsburgh this week and face a Steelers team that is 2-2 and looking to make compensation for a slow start. Pittsburgh has played well on defense, but the offense has turned the ball over too much and it has cost the team at least one victory. The Titans new quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has opened up the passing game, and the team has responded with a quick start to the NFL season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a surprise team in 2010 and they are continuing their winning ways with a 3-1 start to the regular season. They now travel cross-country to face this year’s most surprising team in San Francisco, as the 49ers have jumped out to a 3-1 start after a comeback win over the Eagles on Sunday.
The Sunday night game features the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers as they take their unbeaten 4-0 record on the road to face last year’s NFC South Champion Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have started slow, but they have played just one home game and that was a 35-31 win over Philadelphia. The Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and the NY Jets also have big games this week as they try to get at or above .500 on the season. Look for more excitement this weekend as the NFL action continues all day Sunday and on Monday night.
