Quarterbacks will be most popular on the first day of the 2011 NFL Draft which is going to be held on 28th April, 2011 at Radio City Hall in New York.
Quarterbacks for the 2011 NFL Draft are as follows: Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, Cam Newton, Jake Locker, Colin Kaepernick, Ricky Stanzi, Ryan Mallett, Andy Dalton Pat Devlin and Nathan Enderle.
Blaine Gabbert: He attended the University of Missouri and played in a spread offense. Blaine Gabbert is also having the little experience under center. He announced himself eligible for the 2011 NFL Draft, after his junior year has completed. He is a good athlete, who can avoid the rush. In his college career, Blaine Gabbert had throwed for 313 yards including three touchdowns in the air.
Christian Ponder: He attended the Florida State Seminoles and he has a long history of winning and acquiring. He will play as a best leader with the athleticism to create plays with his feet and arm on the field. In the last season, he played well with Florida. Sources stated that, Christian Ponder will be the number one quarterback prospect the 2011 NFL Draft. He also won the James Tatum award in 2010.
Cam Newton: He played as a starting quarterback for the Auburn Tigers. Cam Newton is a big threat as a runner with his size, arm and athleticism are exceptional. He also won the National Championship at Auburn. In the 2010 season, Newton was one of the best quarterback in college history whereas he was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year as well as the AP Player of the Year for 2010.
Jake Locker: He was the starting quarterback for the Washington Huskies and Locker is one the top three quarterbacks for the 2011 NFL Draft. He is strong armed with tough linebacker and highly competitive. Jake Locker was named as Male Sports Star of the Year in the 75th annual Seattle Sports Star of the Year awards for his performance.
Kaepernick currently stands as the only quarterback in the history of Division I college football to have passed for over 10,000 yards and rushed for over 4,000 yards in a collegiate career and also as the only QB to have passed for over 2,000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards in a single season three times in a career, consecutively.
Colin Kaepernick: He attended Nevada Wolf Pack and Kaepernick has a great ability of play because of his unusual combination of size and athleticism. He has an accurate arm with an awkward release while he can beat teams with his strong feets. Currently, Kaepernick is only player in the Division 1 football history to have passed over 10,000 yards and rushed for 4,000 yards in a collegiate career. He is also the only quarterback to have passed for over 2000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards in a single season for three times consecutively.
