NFL star player, Gaines Adams, a 26-year-old and an all-American defensive died due to cardiac arrest in Greenwood, S.C.
Gaines Adams played for Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marcia Kelley-Clark, Chief deputy coroner for Greenwood County said that Gaines Adams died at Self Regional Hospital due to cardiac arrest about an hour before at his family’s home. In the autospy reports, enlarged heart displayed, which leads to the heart stroke.
Toxicology tests are also conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, whether he took any drugs or not.
Gaines Adams spent three seasons in the national Football League. Adams was selected by the Tampa Bay as a fourth overall in the 2007 draft. He had not survived up to expectations that he would animate the Buccaneers’ once-feared pass rush. After a match against Eagles in October, he was distributed to Chicago Bears for a second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Gaines Adams had just 17 tackles and one sack in 15 matches this season.
