The Lions’ Ndamukong Suh has been suspended for two games by the NFL. The league has suspended the Detroit’s All-Pro defensive tackle without pay for two games on Tuesday. This is for punishing the second-year player for roughing up a Green Bay Packers offensive lineman after the whistle last week. Sun has appealed his suspension and trying to remain his playoff-hopeful teammates when they need him most.
However, the NFL spokesman Greg Aiello has said that Suh’s hearing will be with Art Shell and an appointed appeals officer who is paid by the league and the NFL Players Association. And the hearing hadn’t been scheduled, but the league has said it will expedite the procedure to give Suh and the Lions an answer before Sunday’s game at New Orleans.
If Ndamukong Suh does not win the appeal then he will not be playing against the Saints or in the 11th December home game against Minnesota. He would return on 12th December ahead of a road game against Oakland. However, Suh is barred from practice and the team’s facility while suspended and has not returned messages left with his agent. And if NFL rejects the appeal, then Suh will be watching the Lions (7-4) scramble to keep up in the NFC wild-card race after what the league said was his fifth violation of on-field rules in his first two years in the NFL.
