The National Football league Players Association will arrange a two day educational program for rookies at the end of the June 2011.
The league has cancelled its annual rookie meeting due to the owners’ lockout of the players and all the 254 drafted rookies are invited to attend the Rookie Edition on June 28th-29th. The meeting will address the financial education, appropriate behavior on and off the field and planning, and other information to get rookies for their future in the NFL.
The NFL team’s owners’ meeting was held in Indianapolis on last week, where NFL vice President Adolpho Birch said the league had waited for long time. He called the rookie meeting was an extremely complex occasion that requires a lot of people from the drafted players to the panelists and presenters, production people and the youth camp which it is associated with the league. Adolpho Birch stated it would be up to the every team in the league to help out the rookies to the NFL and league sponsored programs during the season. The lockout has completed 11th week.
The NFL agent David Canter thinks meeting will provide great experience for the players and lack of information, where it will be the first time all of those rookies will met together.
