The Notre Dame’s wide receiver Michael Floyd has been responsible for a misbehavior drunken driving and sentence for one year jail sentence.
St. Joseph County Magistrate Brian Steinke has given a statement that, Notre Dame’s wide receiver Michael Floyd will get a one year jail, which it was suspended as a part of a petition agreement. Brian Steinke also said that, Floyd will get permission to drive for 90 days, as an detonation device installed on his vehicle for six months, which it will not allow to start if his blood alcohol level is much high.
The 21-year-old wide receiver Floyd was fined $200 and ordered to be present at a victim impact board to hear whose family members were killed in accident. Floyd is also having two previous occasions, where he was involved in alcohol driving. He was arrested by the police at 3:18 a.m. local time on 20th March, where his breath test showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.19 percent. It is more than a double in Indian’s legal limit for driving.
Notre Dame Coach Brian Kelly said that team officials are suspended Floyd, after his arrest. He added Floyd would be permitted to take part in voluntary workouts with the team in this summer. In 2010 season, Floyd has recorded 79 receptions for 1,025 yards and 12 touchdowns, where he was elected as the most visible player for Notre Dame and the Sun Bowl.
