Now Buffalo Bills Trainer Turn Regarding Starcaps

20081204_zaf_m42_002.jpgMinnesota Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams blamed a trainer on his former team, the Buffalo Bills, for getting him involved with StarCaps, the over-the-counter diuretic that contains a banned substance.

He said in the case yesterday that the trainer told him that “everything was legal” with StarCaps, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Williams, who is suing the league along with teammate Kevin Williams, apparently took the stuff to get rid of fluid from his body due to gout. They want to get out of the four-game suspensions the league gave them in 2008, but obviously it means more to them than just that.

The Williams think the league violated Minnesota law regarding confidentiality of drug testing information when it gave info to reporters about positive drug tests the pair had.

Vikings coach Brad Childress is supposed to go on the stand tomorrow.
