Ohio State has been planning to submit its response to the NCAA concerning a scandal that started with football players on Friday 8th July.
The Ohio State is going to address each incriminating point made by the NCAA, which has said it will make its response public on Monday, after passing out the student athletes’ names. Athletic director Gene Smith said that, his department had worked hard to meet the deadline and was on schedule on Thursday. The four players could miss the first five games of the 2011 season, as a result of the scandal.
Ohio State will officially react to NCAA allegations against the football players and former coach Jim Tressel. Smith said that, he is feeling good to work together with the NCAA and hopes to solve this issue soon. But, he has disappointed with terms of assault and possible authorize. Five Ohio State football players were suspended on last December for the first five games of the 2011 season for accepting offensive settlement from Columbus tattoo parlor owner Edward Rife.
Ohio State coach Jim Tressel has meet with school president Gordon Gee and Smith, where he had resign on 30th May. The defensive assistant Like Fickell was appointed as an interim head coach.
