Pat Shurmur was appointed as the head coach for the Cleveland Browns last month. Pat Shurmur will manage two jobs at a time in his first season of coaching.
Pat Shurmur stated that he feels good about the coaching staff of the team. Shurmur is the third head coach for Cleveland Browns since six years. Pat Shurmur is the one of the best growing coordinators in the NFL. He also worked under Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid. Shurmur took St. Louis Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, who completed 18 touchdowns with 3512 passing yards. Cleveland Browns were held meeting with two other coaches before Pat Shurmur appointed as new head coach. Pat Shurmur was the former offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams.
Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren, executive vice president Bryan Wiedmeier and general manager Tom Heckert have interviewed Shurmur as coach for the Browns.
Shurmur said that Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy will be the starter for the 2011 season. He was the presenter at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards in Cleveland’s annual event awards to the top athletics. Shurmur will serve as offensive coordinator from the next season. Cleveland Browns is preparing for the 2011 NFL draft order.
