Kansas City Chiefs headed for their practice session ahead of the regular NFL season scheduled to begin on September 2011.
Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel and eight of his teammates assembled for a throwing session as everyone expected the quarterback had more throws in local workouts. The Kansas City stars reportedly started workout on Tuesday, starting with 2½-hour conditioning session at a local gym. After that they headed to local high school for an hour-long session.
The wide receivers of the team Jeremy Horne, Dexter McCluster, Quinten Lawrence: tight end Brad Cottam quarterback, Tyler Palko and defensive backs Jon McGraw and Rashard Langford are seen practicing on Tuesday.
Dexter McCluster said that he has been after a break and going into the regular season everyone hitting their muscle hard and running hard. He has been comfortable sharing dressing room with the teammates. Only a few mates were able to attend the workouts and hope that everyone will be coming for its next workout session.
The players remain on their own after Monday’s decision by the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to grant the league a lockout saying that stay was enabled and Tuesday’s conclusion of another round of mediation ended with progress but no resolution. Cassel called plays from the team’s playbook, gave imaginary defensive coverages and re-ran plays if they were not executed well.
