According to the terms Oakland Raiders have extended three years contract for the corner back player, Stanford Routt.
Routt, a six-year pro, was an offseason precedence for the Raiders after the team voided the contract of returning Pro Bowl pick Nnamdi Asomugha, who is likely leaving via free agency.
Routt, the three years extension will make him the upper level cornerbacks. In the year 2010, he has made 55 tackles with two interceptions and returning one for a touchdown.
John Herrera, while speaking with the various sources has said that, the 27-year-old, Routt is a veteran and he is already having an experience of playing in the leagues for six years.
Routt is one of the fastest cornerbacks in the league for Raiders, and he has got so much of time where he can do his best.
According to various sources on Thursday, raiders have made a defensive side by making Routt with one of the three deals. However, the team has agreed to a two-year contract of $8 million along with defensive tackle John Henderson. The Raiders also placed the contract tag on linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.
