St. Louis Rams CB Al Harris, who played with four teams in a 14-year NFL career, is saying that he is in his way to retire from the NFL. The 37-year-old Harris wants to make a quick transition to coaching as said to the St. Louis Rams’ Twitter account.
However, Rams has placed Harris on injured reserve last month after he tore his ACL in a Week 10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Moreover, he was signed in the offseason and had 15 tackles in nine games for St. Louis. Besides, Harris has spent most of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, he told that his injury was God’s way of telling him it’s time for him to turn the page.
Harris finished with 362 tackles and 21 interceptions in his 194 games. This also includes three that were returned for touchdowns. He returned an interception 52 yards for a game-winning touchdown in overtime to lift the Packers to a wild card win over the Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs on 4th January 2004. However, the pick came after then-Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck famously said after winning the coin toss, quoting that they want the ball, and they are going to score.
