ST. Louis Rams’ running back Steven Jackson has not ruled himself out for the Monday night game against Giants. However, Jackson was not on the field for practice yet this week, and some of his comments made it appear that he is already gearing up for Week 3.
Jackson strained his right quadriceps on a 47-yard scoring run on the Rams’ first offensive play during Sunday’s loss to the Eagles. Jackson said that after pool therapy during practice that the injury had improved. He added that it is all predicated how he will be feeling on Monday. But definitely the running back has a strong outside chance to be part of the offensive tackle of Rams.
Rams’ Coach Steve Spagnuolo says Jackson will be evaluated closer to game daym Kackson only knows whether he will be fit of the Monday night clash with Giants. Jackson said he wants to play in the Rams’ first Monday night appearance since 2006. But he also said being 100 percent fit for the next game which will be against the Baltimore Ravens should be considered as coming on the Giants match on Monday.
Jackson wants to be out on the field, but he would be the first one to tell you whether it was just a Sunday regular game, it would still kill me just as much. This is a big game and it just kills him to know my team needs his services. However, Backup Cadillac Williams had 91 yards rushing and 49 yards receiving in the 31-13 loss to Philadelphia.
