Saints Super Bowl Ring: Saints are in Super Bowl Ring celebrations after receiving the Super bowl XLIV title. Saints enjoying the Super Bowl ring ceremony.
On Wednesday night, New Orleans Saints received the new championship ring at a ceremony.
New Orleans Saints captain and Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees said that it is pretty incredible and it is a big honor for them to be here in receiving this Super Bowl Ring. Drew Brees believes that New Orleans Saints are perfectly deserve for this Super Bowl Ring after their glorious performance in the 2009 NFL regular season.
The yellow-gold ring holds a total of 44 diamonds, which indicates the 44th Super Bowl and the top of the ring features a felur-de-lis, the symbol of both the team and New Orleans.
On one side of the ring, it have carved image of the triple-spired St. Louis Cathedral, the Louisiana Superdome, a scene from the Saints’ championship parade and the first few musical notes of “When the Saints Go Marching In.” On the other side of the ring, it displays the final score of the title match, date and location of the first Super Bowl in which the 44-year-old franchise played.
New Orleans Saints entered as a underdogs for the 2009 NFL regular season and reached the Super Bowl XLIV match where they won against defending champions Indianapolis Colts with 31-17 score on February 9.
