Dallas Cowboys has signed with former New England Patriots’ running back Sammy Morris on Tuesday, after DeMarco Murray placed on injury reserve with high ankle injury.
The 34-year-old Sammy Morris was released by the New England Patriots’, where he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday 13th December and he also worked out with Kansas City Chiefs in this season. Morris has recorded 708 carries over 11 NFL season for 2,955 yards including 26 touchdowns and also played along with Jason Garrett for Miami Dolphins. DeMarco Murray will miss entire season, where he suffered ankle injury against New York Giants on Sunday loss with a 37-34 at Cowboys Stadium.
Cowboys also signed with strong safety Mana Silva, after replacing Barry Church on season ending injury list. Church has suffered shoulder injury on Sunday night against New York Giants, where he will return back into the team next season. Silva has signed with Baltimore Ravens, as an undrafted rookie in 2011 and also spent time in training sessions of the Ravens and Buffalo Bills this season. Dallas also signed up with C.J. Wilson to the practice squad, where he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Center Phil Costa also suffered a concussion against New York Giants on Sunday night football, where he has not participated on the Tuesday’s walkthrough practice. Team owner Jerry Jones said Costa will return back to play against Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday 17th December at Raymond James Stadium.
