In the second preseason game, 49ers defeated Minnesota Vikings with 15-10 at Candlestick Park on 22nd August. In the third game, 49ers overwhelmed Oakland Raiders with 28-24. In the final game, they defeated San Diego Chargers with 17-14.

In their first preseason game, Seahawks defeated Tennessee Titans with 20-18 on 14th August. Seahawks lost against Green Bay Packers with 27-24 in the second preseason game at Qwest Field on 21st August. They maintained the same situation in the third game too and lost with 24-13 against Minnesota Vikings. In the final game, Seahawks lost against Oakland Raiders with 27-24.
